1968 Ford Camper Special for Sale

1968 Ford Camper Special

Bought originally as a project to restore but don’t have enough time and lost interest. It was my daily driver and runs real well. The body is straight with just a few dings. There is rust but nothing is rusted through. I have tried to keep it as original as I could. I have the original bench seat but it needs to be redone. Dash is uncut. Original steering wheel, and gauges. Does NOT have the original motor, instead someone stuffed a 460 in it. C6 tranny and Dana 60 posi rear end. 750 CFM Edelbrock carb or 600 which ever you want. The 600 is about a year old, don’t know the age of the 750.  Both carbs run well. Trailer hitch and wiring although I don’t know if the wiring works.
Glass is fairly good. All gauges work (well the ALT gauge never moves so maybe that doesn’t work)
Has factory AC (don’t think it works, someone said missing condensor box or something) the pump is there and the part in the cab is there.
Has factory power disc brakes in the front and factory power steering
Engine runs strong. ALWAYS starts EVERY time
Here is the work I have had done on it, I have receipts:
New 16” chrome rims and load E tires. I still have the original 16.5” rims with tires on them.
New door seals, window seals, window felts in box. Need to be installed.
New distributor, coil, wires, plugs.
New Alternator
New Master cylinder
New belts
Fairly new battery
New Power steering pump
New radius arm bushings
New arm rest, headliner and door panel skin
New dual flowmaster (40 series) exhaust. Sounds mean
New hoses
New Front shocks
Recent front end alignment
New carpet and heat shield, needs to be installed

THE BAD
Some rust, nothing rusted through
Dual tanks, second tank under bed NOT hooked up. Tank MAY be varnished I don’t really know.
Leaks a little oil
Needs seal replaced in steering gearbox, it leaks. When I replaced the pump it must have blown the seal on the steering box so now it leaks at the input shaft. I took the power steering belt off and drive it with manual steering. UPDATE: Using Lucas steering fluid, it only leaks a little bit so I have been driving it with power steering and it works great!
Heat half works. Its only somewhat warmer then the outside air.

It’s a good truck that is perfect for restoring. Only a couple of dings, nothing rusted through, small chip in windshield, rest of glass is good, all trim is there.. Starts every time, shifts great. Plenty of power, can haul a lot of stuff with the long bed.
Comes with some extra parts not installed yet, another set of Ranger emblems, couple sets of sun visors, wiper delay switch (hard to find), several repair manuals and other stuff I can’t think of off the top of my head.

Asking $2200 OBO, which is less then I paid for the parts alone.
